And it's an excellent product (although early 10.0 versions were a bit rocky, latest are okay and version 9 was very solid and still available for download).1.) It's free for personal use. Does the current market and business model they have allow them to eat the cost of continuing to support a free model?Think about it, up till now, the number of TeamViewer free users may have been relatively small compared to their commercial, but FOR SURE starting TODAY, the number of free users is going skyrocket as many LogMeIn free users find somewhere else to go. Their costs to support all the free users they had acquired in TEN YEARS, must have been STAGGERING!So to anyone using TeamViewer, one does have to consider if the market will drive TV to the same decision at some point. But as a professional in this tech field, their decision makes sense. But with so many other free remote access solutions available now, that no longer makes business sense to LogMeIn, so why continue absorbing all of that cost for free users who will NEVER, EVER switch to pay.As a LogMeIn user, I'm disappointed of course. ![]() I hope I've made back the money on petrol-saved but time will tell.I was skeptical of TeamViewer at first being the primary tech support person for relatively computer illiterate family members, each living 80 miles or so away, I'd tried remote access applications before, mostly of the VNC variety, and had been sorely disappointed. I sent 3 beta feedback emails through the program & the teamviewer website, each was returned with an invalid mailbox error.
